Bial Appoints Pedro Pereira Gonçalves as Non-Executive Board Member

Bial has announced the strengthening of its Board of Directors with the appointment of Pedro Pereira Gonçalves as a Non-Executive Member.

With over 20 years of distinguished experience in finance, investment, and public policy, Pedro Pereira Gonçalves currently serves as CEO of Movendo Capital BV, a leading investor in the innovative food, retail, and consumer sectors. He is also an Industrial Advisor at EQT Partners in Portugal, a Board Member of Hansa Investment Company, and Honorary Consul of Singapore in Portugal.

His career spans a wide range of leadership roles, including serving as Secretary of State for Innovation, Investment, and Competitiveness in the 19th Constitutional Government of Portugal (2013–2015). He was also Executive Board Member and CFO of AICEP – the Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency – and Chairman and Board Member of NovaForum at Nova School of Business and Economics, where he also lectured. Pedro Pereira Gonçalves has held senior positions across the banking, insurance, and asset management sectors.

Pedro Pereira Gonçalves holds a degree in Economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, an MSc in Economics from the University of Glasgow, and an MBA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He also completed the ‘Driving Government Performance’ program at Harvard University.
