• Investment of around 750 thousand euros continues the creation of well-being infrastructures for employees

Bial inaugurated this Tuesday the Sports Complex of the Bial Campus, in Trofa. The infrastructure, which represents an investment of around 750 thousand euros, includes a gym and two padel courts for employees.

The new space, inaugurated by Sérgio Araújo, Mayor of Trofa, marks another stage in the evolution of Bial Campus and aims to create conditions for the practice of physical activity and promote well-being, conviviality, interaction and team spirit between the different areas of the company.

"Bial Campus is the centre of our industrial, research and shared services activity, but it is also a space where we want our people to feel good and find conditions that contribute to their physical and psychological well-being. This new Sports Complex reflects the importance we attach to building an increasingly strong and united Bial community", says Miguel Portela, Chief Corporate Officer of Bial.

At the same time, following the renewal of Bial's identity and narrative, presented in July 2025, the interior streets of the Campus were also symbolically inaugurated with the company's new values, reinforcing the identification of employees with their culture and identity.

In recent years, Bial has invested in strengthening its industrial and operational capacities and in the modernization of the Campus, which occupies an area of more than 24 hectares. This commitment has also been accompanied by the creation of new spaces aimed at promoting interaction and the well-being of employees.

In 2022, the company inaugurated the Lake House, a social building built from scratch, in an investment of two million euros. The building integrates versatile spaces for dining, leisure, socialising and training and is connected, by a pedestrian bridge, to a large green area, used by employees for moments of relaxation and outdoor dining.

As part of the modernisation of the Bial Campus, the industrial expansion, completed in 2022, which represented an investment of around 30 million euros and included, among other infrastructures, a new antibiotic factory and the expansion of the industrial and logistics areas, should also be highlighted. This investment reinforced the company's production capacity and its autonomy in supplying medicines to the different markets where it operates.
