A new Bial

As we mark the turn of our first centenary, we took a moment to reflect on who we are, who we aspire to be, and the purpose that drives us as an organisation. We looked ahead to our long-term ambition and to how we can make a deeper, lasting impact on the lives of the patients we serve and the world around us.

Over the years, Bial has evolved from a Portuguese, in-licensing commercial company into an innovative, international pharmaceutical organisation, developing and out-licensing its own medicines, and operating directly or through partnerships in some of the world’s most important healthcare markets. Today, we are more diverse, more global, and more patient-centric than ever before.

It is now time for our essence - our purpose, mission, and values - to evolve as well. This transformation is also reflected in our identity and in how we present ourselves to the world. We are embracing and building a new culture: modern, agile, open, and connected. A culture that empowers people, fosters meaningful partnerships, encourages collaboration, and celebrates what makes us unique.

Today, we unveil a new identity, a new brand, and a new narrative for Bial: one that honours our past, reflects who we are today, and defines a clear path for the future.

During this transition, you may still see both our previous and new identities coexisting. Change takes time, and we thank you for being part of this journey.

We may look and sound different, but our unwavering commitment remains the same - to life, to health, to science, and people. These are, and will always be, the essence of Bial.
